Pakistan’s support to Kashmiris will continue: Kashmir Committee

Islamabad: The Parliamentary Kashmir Committee on Saturday expressed strong resolve to continue its support to the people of Indian held Kashmir in their struggle for self-determination right.

The committee, which met at Parliament House with its Chairman Mualana Fazlur Rehman in the chair, said that Pakistanis and Kashmiris were united and no power of the world could separate or divide them.
The Chairman and members of the committee said that hearts of Pakistanis throb with those of Kashmiris. Therefore, Pakistan would not leave them in the lurch, he added.
“Pakistan will continue its support for their Kashmiri brethren, who are struggling for their right to self-determination," they said.
They paid rich tribute to the Kashmiris for their sacrifices and saluted their martyres.
They called upon the nation to mark the Solidarity Day on Sunday in a befitting manner to send a strong message to the whole world that "we are with the Kashmiri brethren".
Kashmiri leaders, who attended the committee meeting on special invitation, thanked the Pakistani nation for supporting them for last 65 years and commemorating the Kashmir Solidarity Day annually in a befitting manner.
They said that the people of occupied Kashmir respect and acknowledge the love of Pakistani nation for them.
The Kashmiris think that their future is tied with Pakistan, they said and urged Pakistan to adopt a strong stance on the Kashmir issue.
They urged the government to review their policy on trade ties with India.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Commerce Makhdoom Amin Fahim briefed the committee on trade relations with India.
