At last 11 security personnel were martyred and seven others
went missing in different clashes with the militants in Kurram, Orakzai
and Khayaber agencies; meanwhile 26 militants were also killed and
several others were injured in the retaliation of forces.
Armed militants attacked the check post of frontier constabulary in
shidano dund area nearing Pak-Afghan border martyring eight FC personnel
and injuring two others; meanwhile five personnel are still missing.
Security forces opened retaliatory fire, killing as many as 20
attackers and injuring many others; meanwhile the security forces
launched search operation in the area.
The forces operation in Orakzai continued on 2nd day and during the
operation six militants were killed and many others were injured.
According to the official sources the security forcers in Samad and
Kago Qamar areas conducted operation against the militants and killed
six militants; meanwhile two hideouts of militants were also destroyed.
On the other hand the terrorists attacked the security check post in
Dolat Khail area of Tehsil Bara in Khyaber Agency. In the result of the
attack one security person was martyred and four others were injured;
meanwhile in two khasadar force personnel were martyred in the result of
the militants attack in Terah valley of the Khyaber Agency.
