Violence claim 5 lives including three lawyers in Karachi

At least five persons including three lawyers and one woman were killed and one injured in the result of the violent incidents in different parts of the Karachi city here on Wednesday.

Faisal Shakeel Jaffery, Badar Munir Jaffery and Kafil Jaffery were killed and one person named Babar was injured and the injured lawyer was shifted in Civil Hospital where the condition of the lawyer is critical.
Four persons riding on two motorcycles opened firing on the four lawyers outside the city courts.
The lawyers killed also include father and son; meanwhile the Home Minister Sindh Manzoor Wassan by taking strict notice of the killings of lawyers has suspended the SHO of concerned police station and summoned the report of the incident from interior secretary in 48 hours. He said that the killing of lawyers could prove harming.
Meanwhile the President Supreme Court Bar Association Yasin Azad has given the protest call for today (Thursday) and has asked the lawyers to boycott all the court proceedings; meanwhile the police have termed the incident as target killing.
It is worth mentioning here that six lawyers have so far been killed in January in Karachi.
One worker of religious organization was killed in the result of the firing of unidentified gunmen in Orangi town area of the city.
Meanwhile one woman was slaughtered by her husband in Ladhi Six Number and later on the killer was arrested by police. SANA
