Pak not want stability in region on country’s price: Hina

Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar has said that it is not possible to walk along United States in the current circumstances, we do not want pace and stability in the region at the cost of our country.

Talking to media at parliament house here on Friday, she said that we wants to play a positive rule in the region, adding that the decision to block NATO supply is final and there is no possibility to reconsider this decision.
She said that the government blocked the NATO supply line in light of the parliamentary resolution, adding that until we cannot protect our interests we are unable to play a positive role to protect interests of others.
She said that until the sovereignty of our country will not be protected we do not have any reason to join any alliance, adding that we are unable to walk with US in current circumstance and the basic point of cooperation with any country is the protection of our sovereignty and interests.
She said that if the sovereignty of our country will be protected then the relations with any country are beneficial and will be continued, but after the incident of NATO attack on Pakistani check posts the DCC decided to shut the supply of NATO forces to Afghanistan.
She said that the parliament passed the resolution that if again the sovereignty of Pakistan would be attacked then we should shut immediately the supply of NATO and the Prime Minister decided to shut the NATO supply in the light of resolution of parliament.
She said for reconsidering the or changing the decision on NATO supply we would bring a big change in our policy and only the parliament has authority to amend the policy and it is the wish of Prime Minister Gilani and President Zardari that the resolutions of the parliament be implemented.
She said that if the aim of the world is to establish peace in the region and it is also our aim but it should not be established at the cost of Pakistan, adding that the change in decision regarding attending Bonn Conference is unlikely because it is the decision of federal cabinet, which would demand dynamic shift in policy to reverse the decision.
