Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani while announcing the
establishment of IT university in Rawlakot and 2000 new vacancies for
Azad Jammu and Kashmir police said that the people of Kashmir are living
in our hearts and we provide every possible support for the
independence, progress and prosperity of AJK.
He said that the government of Pakistan fully supports the
rehabilitation program in AJK, adding that through joint efforts we
would be able to construct new AJK.
Addressing the inaugural function of Muzaffarabad Medical College on
Saturday, he said almost all IDPs have been resettled in their own areas
with respect; adding the rehabilitation process after the 8th October
2005 earthquake has been completed to a great extent; meanwhile
President AJK Sardar Yaqoob, Prime Minister AJK Chaudhry Majeed, Federal
Minister for Kashmir Affairs Mian Manzoor Watto and Chairman ERRA Hamid
Yar Hiraj also addressed the function.
He also announced renaming of Muzaffarabad Medical College after Mir
Waiz Molvi Farooq Shaheed in recognition of services of the family for
Kashmiris.
He said fifty eight billion rupees have so for been distributed among
the earthquake affectees while125 billion rupees are being incurred on
different small and big projects. He said reconstruction of houses in
urban areas has been completed while in rural areas too 99 percent work
has been accomplished.
He assured more prosperity and development for Azad Kashmir. He said
all out efforts would be made with more vigor for the development of the
area in a better way.
He appreciated the response of the world community particularly Saudi
Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Turkey and China in the wake of devastating
earthquake in 2005.
He announced for immediate implementation on
Muzaffarabad-Kohala-Lower Topa road project and creation of two thousand
vacancies in the Police force to improve the security situation and
provide jobs to the Kashmiri youth on this occasion, adding also
announced establishment of an Information Technology University at
Muzaffarabad.
President AJK Sardar Yaqoob Khan while addressing the function said
that the prime minister also inaugurate medical college at Rawlakot in
next month.
He said the 8th October earthquake showed the world that here are no
training camps in AJK, adding that we will fight till the independence
of Kashmir.
Prime Minister AJK Chaudhry Abdul Majeed while addressing the
function paid tribute to the support of government of Pakistan regarding
Kashmir cause.
Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Mian Manzoor Wattoo while
addressing the ceremony said that Pakistan People’s Party got heavy
mandate in the current election of AJK in the result of the free, fair
and transparent elections, adding that 0.8 million Indian military
forces are unable to stop the Kashmiri people from achieving their right
of self determination.
Chairman ERRA Hamid Yar Hiraj while addressing the ceremony said that
55 percent of the rehabilitation work completed; meanwhile Prime
Minster Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani also inaugurates the Al-Shifa Trust Eye
Hospital at Muzaffarabad. SANA
