Passage of 12-point resolution victory of parliament: Chaudhry Nisar

ISLAMABAD : Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the aim of their party during the in-camera session was to convey clear message to America, adding that the passage of 12 points unanimous resolution regarding the national security and integrity is the victory of parliament.

Talking to media, he said that formation of independent commission would bring better results and commission would be formed with the consultation of the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader.
He said that the commission would be comprised of impartial personalities including judges, lawyers, and people from civil society but the nation will have full confidence in each member of the proposed commission.
He said that if drone attacks remains continue then option to suspend the NATO supply and action against drones can be utilized.
He said that there should be clear analysis and inquiry about the 2nd May operation because it harmed Pakistan’s honor, integrity and sovereignty.
He said that our view was clear that a firm message should be sent against the drone attacks, which was not part of government resolution.
He said that the resolution of the joint session was a sacred document and hoped that it will be implemented in letter and spirit.
He said their opinion was that necessarily a judicial commission should be formulated, adding that he gives the clear message to Pakistan army and government to keep the respect of in-session meeting.
He said that we are members of assembly and we should follow rules and regulations and briefing of intelligence officials should remain inside the parliament.
He said that several members shared the stories for which he is feeling sorry.
He said that besides the opposition, coalition parties of government were also in favor to include the media in the briefing because if media was present in the session it can make more effective proceedings of the session.
He said that media can be helpful to get more confidence of masses because not all open and fair talks would come on media and people will remain unaware. SANA
