Pakistan Cricket Board sidelines Shahid Afridi from the Captaincy

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board declared to sideline Shahid Afridi from Captaincy of the National Cricket Team for the upcoming series in Ireland whereas Misbah would lead the team instead of him.

According to the reliable sources, PCB took strict notice of Shahid Afridi’s defiant statements that came in media during one days in W. Indies Series. In this light, Shahid Afridi was also issued notices to explain his cheeky statements.
Sources added that PCB decided to take disciplinary action against him and there would be no compromise on discipline violations. After having discussions with Selection Committee, PCB declared that Misbah-ul-Haq would lead the side replacing Shahid Afridi in the upcoming series against Ireland.
