Peshawar : Unidentified armed persons slaughtered three watchmen of a NATO trucks’ lot near railway station of Landikotal bazaar here on Thursday night. The slaughtered watchmen belonged to Shinwari tribe in Landikotal who were identified as Hijran Ullah, Hafiz Ullah and Amaldar Shinwari. The armed militants also torched six empty oil tankers including a container in the lot in Landikotal. Four oil tankers were caused partial damages with fire, local and administration sources said. The lot of the NATO supply trucks is basically used for empty tankers and containers, which is situated under the post of security forces on the mountain top. This is a high security zone but despite that the armed militants carried out their evil plan by slaughtering the three poor watchmen, a Khasadar personnel said. This terrible incident has shocked the local people, which are an omen of bad days ahead, a local person said. Meanwhile the Khyber area in Landikotal is in the grip of thieves in late hours of night.Local people are vigilant at night time to check the crimes at night time. Local people have also demanded of the political administration to adopt security measures by increasing patrolling parties of Khasadar forces on the main road, adding that there must be a strict checking on the check posts so that criminals could not go through them.
