Peshawar : Paying rich tributes to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto speakers on the eve of 32nd death anniversary PPP founder Chairperson Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto on Monday said Zulfiqar Ali was punished for his plan to unite the Muslim world and utilize its resources for the welfare of Muslim Ummah.
The function which was organized by People’s Doctors Forum (PDF) at Press Club Peshawar was addressedby PDF provincial chief Dr Nisar, ex-district Nazim and PPP provincial leader Azam Afridi, Haji Tila Mohammad, provincial chief of People’s Labor Wing (PLW) and Ghani Gul Mehsud, member provincial cabinet PPP. While paying rich tributes to the services of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Azam Afridi said Bhutto was the only leader who succeeded to boost moral of the nation which was disappointed after being defeated by India. Again, he said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto came to release 90 war prisons from India. Counting the services of Late Bhutto, Azam Afridi said Bhutto was the leader who gave a unanimous constitution, established country’s largest steel mill, restore Friday’s holiday and declared Ahmadisas non-Muslim. Bhutto, he said was the founder of Pakistan’s atomic program which strengthens Pakistan’s security. Ghani Gul Mehsud said those who were the cronies of dictators had no right to criticize PPP as its leader sacrificed the whole family for Pakistani nation. He said Z.A Bhutto never bow before the dictators though he was offered to go on exile to avoid death sentence however he refused to do so. “He was the leader of deprived segments of Pakistan therefore he is still alive in their hearts,” he observed and said Bhutto like could never again born in Pakistan. President of PDF Dr Nisar said dictators have always tried to defeat the Bhutto’s legacy but they failed as millions of people still love him and follow his legacy despite they were tested many times. Haji Tilla Mohammad said Bhutto introduced agricultural reforms and fixed duty hours for the labor. The function was also addressed by general secretary PDF Dr Ehsan Turabi.
