MIRANSHAH: Drone strike killed at least four people and injured several others in North Waziristan, officials said on Wednesday.
The unmanned aircraft fired two missiles on a house in Miranshah, killing four people and wounding several.
"The drone fired two missiles on a house in the Tabai area near Miranshah," the main town in North Waziristan, a security official said, adding four people were killed. A local administration official and another intelligence official confirmed the early morning strike and casualties.
It was the first drone strike after Chicago conference.
“Fear prevailed in the area as almost five drones were still flying in the air,” they added. It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan’s Parliament recently passed a resolution which demanded United State to halt drone strikes inside Pakistani territory as it is violation of International law. online
