RAHIM YAR KHAN: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said completing the mission of Bhutto Shaheed is his dream and only gallows can stop him from completing his mission.
Addressing a public rally on the occasion of ground breaking ceremony of Benazir Shaheed Bridge at local village of Rahim Yar Kahn, Chachra Sharif PM said, “If today I announce of abandoning the Bhuttos I would be regarded as a hero by those who today dub me as a traitor. But I am not a traitor of Bhuttos. I am a pir and know how to be loyal”.
He said until and unless a separate Seraiki province is formed the Seraiki people cannot get their rights thus he will utilise all capabilities for the establishment of this new province. He said Seraiki province has become a priority of his party.
He said he is being victimised for being loyal with the Bhuttos. At times he is warned that his son would be arrested and at other times he is told he could face prison for not respecting the judiciary.
“ Today I want to make it clear to the public. I totally respect the courts and would not be threatened by warnings of my son’s arrest”, the PM said.
He said PPP gave this nation the gift of 1973 constitution and later by restoring it, it has proved that it is a federal party. He said PPP will win the next general elections with majority and would once again work for the people of this country.
He said some people want to enter the power corridors through conspiracies and back doors but I want to tell the public that now media has become so independent that such elements would never succeed and they would be exposed. He said sometimes he is held in front of the firing squad sometimes the President but despite these attempts we would complete our tenure.
He said in Punjab Assembly both PPP and PML-Q enjoy majority and if they want to they could oust the Mian brothers government in Punjab but we believe in consolidating democracy and thus would not take such a step. Online
