Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that the change
in country would come soon and the next government would be formed by
the PML-N; meanwhile Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has been
elected as PML-N Punjab president unopposed in the Provincial General
Council of the party.
Addressing the participants of the Provincial Council Nawaz Sharif
said that Shahbaz Sharif should double the speed of work the whole party
would support him, adding that those raising slogans of change are
disappearing gradually from the scene.
Nawaz Sharif said that people, who were used to call PPP their enemy,
are sitting in its lap now and are helping the government to issue the
red warrants of Parvez Musharraf for whom they were use to get elect him
20 times as president in uniform.
He said that the politics of hypocrisy should end forever, adding
that those who faced hardships during the Musharraf era are the assets
of the party.

He said that it is his desire that the country should progress and
Pakistan’s flag should be hoisted at every home and every citizen should
get employment, adding that this could have been achieved but the
hurdles were put in way of PML-N governments in past.
Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan retaliated with six atomic bombs to
Indian nuclear tests, adding that there is no motorway in any country of
the region, adding that the sanctions imposed on Pakistan after the
nuclear tests but PML-N government did not beg from foreign countries
and show steadfastness with resources of the country.
He said that there was load shedding of gas and electricity in the
country and we were signing deal to export electricity to India, adding
that there was no terrorism in the factories were being established in
the country.
He said that allegation on was leveled that we had exported sugar to
India, adding that this was good thing beside this in Musharraf era the
sugar was imported from India.
He said that the people raising slogan are gradually disappearing as
they have realized that the PML-N would bring change in the country.

president unopposed and Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal senior vice president of
the Punjab.
The PML-N announced that party’s General Council elected Shahbaz
Sharif as President PML-N Punjab after no one submitted papers for this
slot against the serving CM.
Shahbaz while speaking the participants said that during the
dictatorship era he had to become the party president, adding that Nawaz
Sharif was real president and he was president only in papers, adding
that he would serve and protect the rights of the people of Punjab from
Kot Sabzal to Attock.
Meanwhile Shabaz raised the slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad”
”Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad” ”Nawaz Sharif Zindabad” ”Prime Minister Nawaz
Sharif” and “Go Zardari Go”.
Mariv Memon, the former PML-Q leader who announced his decision to
join PML-N on Sunday, also attended the session held at Awan-e-Iqbal
Lahore.
Party workers warmly welcomed her on the occasion, applauding and
raising slogans as the young political leader acknowledged the cheers of
jubilant supporters.
The council also unanimously adopted a resolution, vowing for the
struggle till recovery of all missing persons and arrest of the Nawab
Akbar Bugti killers.
The council also condemned the Kohistan incident in which 18 people
from Gilgit-Baltistan were slaughtered by the unknown armed men Tuesday.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani congratulated Chief
Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif on his unopposed election as the
President of Pakistan Muslim League (N), Punjab.
The prime minister in a message expressed best wishes for Shahbaz
Sharif and hoped that he would continue making efforts for the
strengthening of democracy. SANA
