Several injured in clashes between supporters of candidates in bye-polls

Several persons were injured in the result of the violent incidents occurred between the supporters of different candidates during the bye-polls on 10 seats of national and provincial assemblies, resulting in injury of many persons.

In NA-168 constituency of Vihari exchanged of firing took place between rival groups, resultantly two kids among three people were injured. Police have arrested seven accused involved in firing incident and recovered weapons from their custody.
In NA 140 Kasur constituency, two groups exchanged fire that put a halt to polling process while police and Rangers reached the spot to take control of the situation; meanwhile six persons were injured in the result of the clash between the two rivals in Gara Singh Wala .
Some political workers displayed arms at different polling stations in Badin; meanwhile one persons was injured in the result of the firing during the clash between the supporters of two candidates in Essa Soomro poling station; meanwhile women were restricted to cast their votes in Mianwali constituency.
Fake voters were spotted in NA 195 Rahim Yar Khan constituency where voting was done against fake or expired identity cards. The voters’ lists were allegedly changed in the constituency that sparked protest from the polling agents and voters. However, Assistant Election Commission Noor Leghari insisted that voters’ lists were not changed.
According to sources, clash erupted between two groups at Sarband polling station in Mardan wounding two people; meanwhile women were restricted from casting voted in various areas of Mrdan.
Meanwhile the supporters of various candidates conducted aerial firing in the happiness of wining of polls. The supporters of ANP conducted aerial firing outside the party office openly; meanwhile the supporters of Ali Musa Gilani conducted aerial firing in Multan.
The PPP candidate from PS-53 Tando Muhammad Khan-cum-Hyderabad Wahida Shah tortured the female poling staff in the presence of police officers; meanwhile the election commission while taking notice of the incident after seeing the video of torture took serious notice of the incident and ordered action against Wahida Shah.
Secretary Election Commission Ishtiaq Ahmed said that the chief election commissioner have summoned the complete report of the incident, adding that that the statement of the presiding officer should be recorded, adding that no one has authority to beat the polling staff.
Meanwhile talking to a private TV channel Wahida Shah said that the video played on the TV channels regarding torture on the polling staff was not true, adding she had not torture any polling staff member. SANA
