Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) would sacrifice of their lives: PM Gilani

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Saturday said that today the leaders of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) would sacrifice of their lives; rather workers.

Addressing a gathering in Jaranwala, the prime minister said that there are many who are talking about change and revolution in the country, however, the politician who brought revolution in Pakistan are Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
He said that today the people have not given the chance to those who are raising slogan of change and revolution. Gilani maintained that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto struggled for the freedom of the media and judiciary and we, also, will have been serving the people as per Mohtarma’s manifesto. "We would continue to do so we remain in power or not," he added.
While attributing the sacrifices and confidence of PPP workers, the prime minister said, “We are proud of our PPP workers and their sacrifices.” The massive progress which has been made in our regime is not carried out in previous regimes, he added.
The PPP workers have never been sold and frightened, he said. PPP is the only party that has rendered so many sacrifices, the premier said.
Yousaf Raza Gilani claimed that the PPP government has spent Rs 3.5 billion on gas projects, Rs 1.5 billion on electricity and Rs 2 billion on other small projects in Faisalabad.
Moreover, the PM said that two Power Plants have been allocated for Faisalabad. He inaugurated Faisalabad-Multan motorway and ground breaking ceremony of Saeedwala Bridge in Okara. He also announced funding for several other projects including gas projects, Benazir Park and Brand Band facilities for five educational institutes. Online
