Defence of Human Rights has started its sit-in front of Parliament House on
Wednesday for the recovery of the missing persons, meanwhile various
political parties, civil society and important personalities from every
walk of life showing their solidarity with heirs of missing persons have
said that the miseries of these families should be addressed for the
sovereignty of the country.
The Chairperson of Defence of Human Rights (DHR) Amina Masood Janjua
has said that no one is feeling the pain of missing person’s heirs,
adding that the families of missing persons are here to wake up the
rulers and politicians.
She said that where law is, constitution and layers who were claiming
during the lawyers’ movement that they would do struggle for missing
persons after the restoration of Judiciary, adding that Aitzaz Ahsan can
appear in contempt case against Prime Minster Gilani. Why he is not
present to share our miseries, Amina added.
The daughters of the nation are asking questions to lawyer leaders
Aitzaz Ahsan, Ali Ahmed Kurd, Muneer A Malik that when they would fight
their case, Amna said adding that a mother has been died while waiting
her three sons who were in custody of secret agencies.
Amna questioned that where are the rallies of PML-N, Defence council of Pakistan and Imran Khan.
She said that all missing persons should be recovered including Dr
Afia Siddiqui, adding that DHR’s struggle would be continued till the
recovery of all missing persons.
Addressing to the sit-in former ISI chief Gen retd Hameed Gull said
that the courts have not succeeded to provide relief to masses, adding
that the history would never forgive those who are involve in the
illegal act of missing the citizens.
Meanwhile the Jamat-e-Islami (JI) women wing leader Ayesha Munawar
said that JI is ready for every kind of sacrifice for recovery of the
missing persons, adding that US is responsible for all problems faced by
the country.
Meanwhile JI leader and former MNA Mian Aslam, President Jammu
Kashmir Peoples Party Sardar Khalid Ibrahim, former MNA Marvi Memon and
member civil society Farzana Bari also addressed the participants of
sit-in. SANA
