Government respects all institutions of country: PM Gilani

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that government respects all the institutions of the country and there is ruler of law in the country.

Meanwhile the lawyers’ stages severe kind of protest and chanted slogans of “chief tere janisar beshumar beshumar” “adlia tere janisar beshumar beshumar” during the address of Prime Minister Gilani at Lahore Bar Association.
Addressing the Lahore Bar Association, Gilani said that PPP rendered great sacrifices for the restoration of the democracy in the country, adding that the civil society is active in the country.
He said that after the restoration of 1973 constitution the institutions have been strengthened, adding that we respect all the institutions.
He said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto made the country nuclear power and Benazir Bhutto made the country missile power.
He said that media and judiciary are independent in the country, adding that the PPP had given the constitution to country, adding that PPP had started movement for independence of the judiciary and made no compromise.
He said that we have regards for all the institutions of the country which are custodians of the country, adding that the PPP would always protect the national interests.
He said that the PPP is not a regional party, adding that it is federal party, adding that it had come in the power after contesting and winning elections.
Prime minister announced housing schemes for the lawyers at Qasur and Nankana Sahib; meanwhile he also announced to allocate the land for the lawyers colony.
On the occasion prime minister announced to award the cheque of 2.5 million rupees for the lawyer, who is the patient of cancer. SANA
