Zardari says ready to face every kind of situation

President Asif Ali Zardari has said that he is the spiritual son of late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and would face every kind of situation.

According to the Spokesman of the Presidency Farhatullah Babar this president said during meetings with the different party office bearers on Thursday at the presidency.

The Co-Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party said that I want to tell the nation and PPP workers that late Benazir Bhutto had confidence in him, adding that the nation should show confidence over the confidence of Benazir Bhutto.

Meanwhile during the meetings with the office bearers of the party they discussed the over all political situation of the country and relations with political parties and strengthening of democratic system in the country.

The leaders who met with the president paid rich tribute to the leadership of PPP over the brave decisions taken after the NATO attack on the security check posts in Mohmad Agency.

President directed the leaders of the party to keep close interaction with the masses for the solution of their problems.

He said that the government is only answerable to the parliament, adding that the PPP is committed to the supremacy of the parliament and strengthening the democratic set up.

Those who met with the president Zardari include Senator Islamuddin Sheikh, Senator Abbas Khan Afridi, Asima Arbab Alamgir Khan, MNAs Muhammad Tariq Khattak, Mehreen Razzaq Bhutto and Begum Nasim Akhtar Chaudhry.

Meanwhile President of Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali Khan called on President Asif Ali Zardari and discussed the current situation obtaining in the country and coalition matters were discussed during the meeting.

President Zardari congratulated him on his re-election as ANP’s chief for the fourth term. He said that the unanimity of the verdict by the 600-member committee of the party was clear reflection of the confidence of the people in his leadership qualities and abilities. He also congratulated all the office bearers of ANP who have been either elected or re-elected.

The President also appreciated ANP’s decision to increase their woman office-bearers and increasing space for the women to play constructive role within the party terming it a step in the right direction for real empowerment of the women.
