Eight killed in Taxila rescue operation of police

At least eight people were killed including the abducted doctor, six kidnappers and a sub-inspector on Thursday in Taxila.

According to police sources, a doctor was kidnapped from Haripur area a month ago and demanded six million rupees ransom.
Police conducted an operation Thursday morning to rescue the kidnapped doctor in Tehsil Taxila. During operation, six kidnappers including two women were killed while check post in-charge Raja Hasnain and Dr Tallal were also killed in the cross fire.
Police has recovered hand grenades and other ammunition from the possession of kidnappers. The police of Haripur and Texila took part in the rescue operation; meanwhile four police personnel including DSP were injured in the encounter.
Police has transferred the dead bodies in civil hospital Texial for autopsy. SANA
