Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has emphasized that vigilance intelligence
sharing among law enforcement agencies be enhanced to ensure security
of citizens. The Ministry of Interior he stated has significant
responsibility in this regard.
The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Khawaja
Siddique Akber the newly appointed Secretary Interior, who called on
him at PM’s House here on Thursday.
The Prime Minister stressed upon the need of better coordination
among the federal and provincial security agencies as well as, capacity
building through improved training programmes to meet the security
challenges.
The Prime Minister it may be mentioned has appointed Khawaja
Siddique Akber as Secretary Interior with immediate effect. Khawaja
Siddique Akber it may be added was working as Secretary Minorities and
Interfaith Harmony, which stands devolved today.
Khawaja Siddique Akber the new Secretary Interior assured the Prime
Minister to work with complete devotion in accordance with his advice
and guidance.
