Quaid Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that
foreign aid would not be needed if loss of government run institutions
are decreased and 20 thousand vehicles would be distributed immediately
on easy installments to deserved persons under the yellow cab scheme.
Talking to media persons along with Chief Minister Punajb Mian
Shahbaz Sharif and other party leaders after a high level meeting of
the party, he said that yellow cab scheme would decrease the
unemployment in the province and cheap convince would become available
to masses and would also increase the tax income of the government,
which ultimately improves the economic condition of the country.
He said that this project would provide respected job to masses and
this project would be without usury and only bank charges would be
received, which would not be more than two or three percent.
He said that this project is now only initiated in Punjab but very
soon, it would be started in the entire country, adding that they would
make this scheme transparent and proper criteria would be introduced.
Nawaz Sharif said that federal government should also start this
type of project and government is not taking interest to control the
poverty and unemployment in the country, adding that the economic
polices of the government has failed.
Replying a question, he said that he and his party repeatedly
pointed out about problems of the masses but even then, government do
not decrease the loss in state run organizations and no foreign aid
would be needed as Pakistan is receiving under the Carry-Lugar Bill.
Commenting on the recent statement of Indian Prime Minister Dr
Manmohan Singh, he said that nobody believes in the statement of
Manmohan Singh because that is not a truth.
Meanwhile Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif said that yellow
cab scheme would provide respected job to unemployed persons and this
scheme would be completely transparent as vehicles would be distributed
through lucky draw and no usury would be received on these vehicles.
He said that 20 thousand vehicles would be provided immediately and
after its success more vehicles would be provided, adding that this
scheme has the milestone value to eliminate the unemployment and only
way to live honorable life is to say no to foreign aid. SANA
