Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Thursday emphasized that
vigilance and intelligence sharing among law enforcement agencies be
enhanced to ensure security of citizens. The Ministry of Interior, he
stated has significant responsibility in this regard. The Prime
Minister expressed these views while talking to Khawaja Siddique Akber
the newly appointed Secretary Interior, who called on him at PM’s
House. The Prime Minister stressed upon
the need of better coordination among the federal and provincial
security agencies as well as, capacity building Through improved
training programmes to meet the security challenges.
Khawaja Siddique Akber, the new Secretary Interior assured the Prime
Minister that he would work with complete devotion and in accordance
with his advise and guidance. APP
