PM Gilani appoints Khawaja Muhammad Siddiqui Akbar as new federal interior secretary

ISLAMABAD: PM, Yousaf Raza Gilani has appointed Khawaja Muhammad Siddiqui Akbar as the new interior secretary, replacing him with Qamar-uz-Zaman.

The spokesman PM has announced of another reshuffle in bureaucracy by PM, according to which secretary states and Frontier region division (SAFRON), Habib ullah Khattak has been appointed as chairman Pakistan Tobacco Board, replacing him with former interior secretary Qamar-uz Zaman.
The newly appointed interior secretary Khawaja Muhammad Siddiqui Akbar met PM and thanked him for entrusting him the new post.
Speaking on the occasion, PM directed the newly appointed interior secretary to ensure the effective inter-intelligence coordination between federal and Provincial security agencies.
