ISLAMABAD: US Embassy in Islamabad termed the media reports baseless
that United States killed its own troops in the tragic helicopter crash
in Afghanistan so that the "truth" about the death of Osama bin Laden
might not come out.
The spokesperson of US Embassy in a
clarification said that these reports were baseless and US is deeply
disappointed that some of Pakistani media would publish such patently
false allegations. He called on responsible media to accurately report
the facts.
“The U.S. government has repeatedly honored the loss
of Pakistani lives in terrorist attacks. Pakistan and the United States
share a common interest in standing together against extremists and
terrorists who callously take the lives of our citizens. The U.S.
government is investigating this terrible incident. Further information
will be provided when the investigation is complete”, the clarification
