Shahbaz backs Imran proposal about assets declaration; situation of country become worse due to corruption of rulers

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahabz Sharif backed asset declaration proposal of Imran Khan, saying the rulers have rendered the country bankrupt, adding that in the result of the corruption of the rulers the situation of the country has become worse. 

While addressing the workers of PML-N at Jamshoro on telephone and talking to a private TV channel, Shahbaz Sharif said he has already declared his assets on his return form abroad in 2007. Those who have assets within the country, they should also make them public, he added.

He said that the time to get rid of the present rulers has become, adding that the arrival of Zardari proved disastrous for country.

He said that he would continue to expose the corruption of rulers, adding that the rulers are scared from the assistance rendered by Mian Nawaz Sharif to the flood-affectees of Sindh.

He said that the burning and attacks on the PML-N offices in Sindh and attack on the life of district president Jamshoro are coward acts.

He said that they would not allow becoming Sindh as no go area for PML-N, adding that soon I would make Sindh visit, adding that the party workers are being threatened and police is playing the role of silent spectator.

The financial crisis could be taken care of if money lying abroad is brought back, he remarked. The President’s house is playing main role in the corruption, he alleged. 

Talking about poor while building a house over 100 canals doesn’t sound good, he remarked.

He also emphasized the need to have an effective system of accountability to root out corruption.

He said that the masses should be aware about the billionairs who have become defaulters, adding that the masses also be aware about the people who made the money by making corruption. SANA
