Lahore High Court (LHC), suspending the sentence awarded to Constable Yaseen, Monday granted him bail in Sialkot lynching case of the two brothers.
A two-member LHC bench directed Constable Yaseen to submit surety bonds worth Rs.100,000 for bail.
Yaseen’s counsel told the court that all police personnel including District Police Officer (DPO) were released on bail.
The petitioners said the accused getting sentence for less than five
years, may be released on bail until the hearing time in accordance with
the verdict by the Supreme Court (SC).
The petition further requested the court to release him on bail, as
Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) awarded him three-year sentence. The
two-member bench, granting the bail plea, ordered the release of the
policeman. SANA
