Islamabad : Prime Minister has said that Pakistan fully supports the initiativesof Afghan people for the establishment of peace and stability in theirown country.
He was talking to media presons at Chaklala Airbase before hisdeparture for Kabul on a day long visit to Afghanistan.
He said that during his talks with Afghan leadership, Pakaistanwill offer its wholehearted and categorical support for a stable,peaceful and sovereign Afghanistan which is also in the interest of Pakistan.
He said Pakistan will support Afghan-led peace process forestablishing stability in the region. The Prime Minister said that he is taking message of best wishesfor the people of Afghan that the entire Pakistani nation is withthem. He said we have centuries old cultural and religious relationswith Afghanistan and we want to improve them further. To a question, the Prime Minsiter said the visit of politicaland military leadership to Afghanistana reflect the solidarity withour Afghan brethren. He said it is his second visit in four months to Afghanistanawhich strengthened our relations further. Minister for Defence Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Minsiter forInterior Rehman Malik and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HinaRabbani Khan was also accompanying the Prime Minister. Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and DirectorGeneral ISI Shuja Pasha are also visiting Afghanistan for wide rangingtalks with Afghan political and military leadership.
