The grand tribal Jirga active against the drone attacks in Pakistani
territory announced to register petition in Supreme Court against the
drone attacks inside Pakistani territory; meanwhile Pakistan
Tehree-e-Insaf carried out rally in front of parliament against the
drone strikes.
The Grand Tribal Jirga organized jointly by a British welfare
organization, Pakistani established human rights organization and Jirga
of Waziristan was held in Islamabad on Friday; meanwhile the people
affected by drone attacks also attend the Jirga.
Addressing the Jirga, the speakers severely condemned the drone
attacks, termed it as violation of national integrity, and said that
they would register petition in Supreme Court against drone attacks.
The Jirga claimed that Black Water is active in FATA in the name of NGO’s.
Addressing the Jirga, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek Insaf Imran Khan has
said that the independent sources never confirmed the killed people as
terrorists, adding that innocent people were killed in drone attacks.
He said the media reported that the dead bodies of the people killed
in drone attacks were mutilated and unidentifiable, adding that news
broadcasted all over the country that suspected militants were killed in
drone attacks; meanwhile no body verified either they were militants or
not.
He said that no independent source conduct investigations of the
drone attacks, they killed either the militants or innocent people,
which is a big violation of human rights, adding that the violation is
done by a country who is teaching lessons of human rights to other
countries.
He questioned where the Pakistani organization working for human
rights are and why they are silent against drone attacks, adding that
all organizations in Pakistan working for human rights are silenced
because they are receiving funds from US.
He said our puppet government of came into being on the will of the
US is telling lie before the public, adding that the government
immediately stop the drone attacks in Pakistan and end all military
operations; meanwhile he also thanked Clive Smith and Jamima Smith for
fighting case with US in favor of Pakistan.
Meanwhile Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf also staged protest rally against
drone attacks on Friday in front of parliament house and the protest was
attended by a large number of peoplei, including Clive Smith and Jamima
Smith.
Imran khan while addressing the rally said that the government and
leading opposition parties of the country supporting drone attacks
silently.
While criticizing President Zardari and Sharif brothers’ he said
President Zardari is a big disease for country, adding that Sharif
brothers’ are expert in Noora kushti. President Zardari is present in
Islamabad and PML-N is staging protests in Lahore, he added.
He said that if the government had immediately implemented the
resolution of APC, then US will not dare to conduct drone attacks in
Pakistan, adding that it is insult of the APC resolution that during 24
hours US carried out drone strike. SANA
