US not suspended Pak military aid: Hussain Haqqani

Pakistani Ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani has said that the united states has not suspend the military aid of Pakistan, adding that the process has been slowed down.

Addressing a press conference Hussain Haqqani said the civilian aid of Pakistan did not stop by US, adding that the process of military aid has been slowed down from present pace.
He said that the ties between the two countries are not depending upon aid only.
He further stated that the difference between Pakistan and America are being decreased, adding that the US congress has rejected all the demands of stopping the Pakistani aid.
In past, due to Preslar Amendment, the relations between the two countries had become worsen , but now this time America does not wants to influence Pakistan in such manner.
He said that Pak-US strategic dialogues will be restored soon, adding that the US has slowed down the pace of provision of reimbursement of money of coalition support fund; instead of stopping the aid.
He further said that American aid was previously used on US trainers training Pakistani security forces. He said Pakistan is trying to improve the relations with US, adding that the decisions of the country are being made by keeping in mind the ground situation of Pakistan.
Hussain Haqqani said that Pakistan could not ignore ‘ground realities’ while responding to US demands for doing more in war against terrorism. SANA
