Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has rejected the accusations of incompetence on Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) sayin7g it is discharging its duties professionally.
"Allegations of complicity or incompetence are absurd. We emphatically reject such accusations," Gilani told Parliament.
"Indeed, the ISI is a national asset and has the full support of the government. We are proud of its considerable accomplishments," The Daily Times quoted Gilani as saying.
Highlighting the achievements of ISI, he said it has captured 40 Al Qaeda members including the key terrorists like Faraj al-Libbi and Khalid Shaikh Mohammad
He regretted the unilateral US raid at Abbottabad and warned that any such attack in the future would be retaliated.
Gilani informed that the armed forces would give an in camera briefing to the joint session of Parliament on national security on May 13. (ANI)
