ISLAMABAD: Former President and head of All Pakistan Muslim League Pervez
Musharraf has said that the price of petroleum products has been increased to
meet the expenditures of the proposed inclusions of the ministers from PML (Q).
In a statement issued by central secretariat of APML here on Sunday,

He said that the political parties have nothing to do with the resolution of
the common man’s problems. They are busy to save their governments and gain
their personal interest.
Former President was of the view that the recent increase in price of
petroleum products would result a fresh glut of price hike in the country
whereas the people have already been tangled in difficulties.
The swelling dearness has made the life of people more grim and the rulers
are sitting have closed their eyes to their problems.
“When I was President of the country, petrol was available at Rs 55 per
liter, which has touched the highest level of Rs 88 per liter. Similarly the
cost of food items were also raised by 150 percent after Zardari became
President”, Musharraf added.
He said that it seems that there is not any peoples friendly government but
anti public elements are ruling the country , which are ready to even snatch the
last loaf of the bread form the mouth of the poor for their personal interests.
On the occasion the Secretary General of APML Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has
said while addressing the meeting of party’s organizing committee said that the
role of PML(Q) in the government would be not more than political tissue paper.
