Peshawar - Terming the nomination of former President General Retd Musharraf in the assassination of Benazir Bhutto as against the basic principles of interrogation, provincial spokesmanof All Pakistan Muslim League, Moazzam Bhut advocate Friday said that the step was taken at the behestof Sharif brothers.
Addressing a news conference here, he said that such steps would serve no cause but intensify the chaos in the country further. He said that the former president has announced that he would return to the country to face the allegations against him once normalcy is restored. He said that after fixation of head money for the former president by some Baloch leaders, they have lodged a report with the government, but the government failed to take any step. He was of the opinion that the judiciary was an important pillar of the state by the serving judges have been made non-funtional, which has caused a state of confrontation within the judiciary. He welcomed the defense ministry proposal to rename Peshawar Air Port after Bacha Khan.
