KHYBER AGENCY: Six Khasadar force personnel have been martyred and three others injured when militants ambushed their convey at Alamgod area in Tehsuil Bara here on Thursday.
Official sources in political administration informed that a convey of Khasadar Force was moving from Bara to Dogra post for duty when it reached at Alamgod, was ambushed by unidentified gunmen.
As result, Khasadar Force officials including Noor Janan, Mehrab, Abdul Waheed, Umar, Jamshed and levy official Shah Por were killed instantly and three others sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to the hospitals. Assistant Political Agent Bara, Abdul Hadi and other senior officers rushed to the spot.
The security forces cordoned off the area and started search operation. The Bara administrator later on behalf of the Political Agent Khyber Agency, distributed one lakh rupee each among heirs of deceased and Rs.50000 for each the injured.
